New Gantry-Type Machining Center DMF 360 Expands Machine Park in Dietach

At the end of April 2012, a new 3-axis gantry-type machining center of the model DMF 360 from Deckel-Maho was commissioned at the Dietach site. With this investment, the company responds to the trend toward increasingly larger tools and expands capacity for machining large-scale components.

Einsatzmöglichkeiten im Werkzeugbau

The machining center offers a travel range of 3,600 mm and a maximum table load of up to 5,400 kg. It is therefore ideally suited for machining long and heavy components. With the use of modern technologies, even complex production tasks can be carried out efficiently and precisely.

Productivity through Pendulum Operation

A special feature of this machine is the option of pendulum operation. With the use of a partition wall, the working area can be divided. While machining takes place on one side, new workpieces can already be prepared and clamped on the other. This significantly reduces downtime and increases productivity.

Cutting-Edge Equipment for Maximum Efficiency

A traveling tool magazine with 120 positions ensures short chip-to-chip times and contributes to faster machining. In combination with an efficient zero-point clamping system, idle times can be further reduced. These features create ideal conditions for cost-effective production, even of large-scale tools.

Conclusion

With the commissioning of the DMF 360 gantry-type machining center, the Dietach site has been strategically strengthened for future demands in toolmaking. This investment represents a clear step toward increased productivity and competitiveness.
